Community Space & workshops

Beyond music and awareness, the Community Space is the heart of joining in: skill-sharing workshops to try out, learn and exchange, the artistic-political zone Gewalten Formen and the Queer Dating Stage — by and for FLINTA* & allies.

Workshops & skill-sharing

Stich für Stich — Workshop

Stich für Stich

Amen Juvlja Mundial — Wir Frauen Weltweit

Landebahn 14:00–18:00

Discover your talent at the sewing machine! An open taster session, no sign-up needed: in a relaxed atmosphere you’ll learn the basics of sewing with guidance. To start, we all sew together on a festive garland that stretches across the grounds. Especially for beginners — everything you need is provided.

Radio Makro × FLINTA*SIALAND — Workshop

Radio Makro × FLINTA*SIALAND

Radio Makro (Makroscope, Mülheim a. d. Ruhr)

Kieselwiese 14:00–22:00

A DIY online radio for independent music culture is on site all day with a mobile studio. Radio Makro streams the acts live at makroscope.de/radio — and in between you can take the mic yourself: try out your voice, make what interests you audible, or say hi to your gran. Just drop by!

Connection through Movement — Workshop

Connection through Movement

Maschinerie 14:00–16:00

A two-hour movement workshop to DJ* sounds to open the festival day. How do we move on our own? How as a group? How do we create connection through movement and contact? We explore moments of belonging, breaking away and finding each other again — with exercises in support and trust, we give one another spotlights and empowerment. The focus is on the joy of movements from the everyday to the extraordinary. With various movement and dance practices and room for improvisation. No dance experience required.

Mut-Muskel-Workshop

Radikale Töchter

Gewalten Formen 15:00–19:30

The world needs new radical ideas — but above all, more courage. Together we train our courage muscle: with approaches from action art and artistic activism, with stories of actions, methods and visions. A political, creative, activating workshop as inspiration for your own stance.

Erasure Poetry — Workshop

Erasure Poetry

Miaïna Razakamanantsoa

Community Space 16:00–18:00

Erasure poetry is a political art practice: from discriminatory material — racist or sexist books, newspaper articles or far-right party manifestos — a new, often political counter-speech emerges by striking out words and lines. The material (partly from Dortmund’s urban space) is deliberately never bought, so as not to fund oppressive structures. Historically tied to LGBTQIA2S+, feminist and Black liberation movements — yet still little known in Germany.

Psychische Gewalt & narzisstischen Missbrauch erkennen — Workshop

Psychische Gewalt & narzisstischen Missbrauch erkennen

Lisa Jureczko · Projekt ECHO

Gewalten Formen 17:00–19:30

A talk for anyone seeking insight into the topic of “narcissistic abuse & its consequences”. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it: we look at the often subtle tactics — from gaslighting to lovebombing to breadcrumbing —, at victim blaming, and at how bystanders can support those affected and where to find free and accessible help. Intersectional, interdisciplinary and destigmatising.

Liquid Latex — Workshop

Liquid Latex

Landebahn 18:30–20:30

A weirdly wonderful material: we experiment with liquid latex — colouring it with pigments, squishing it around, layering it delicately, creating membranes, piercing it with metal, casting objects. Individual pendants and decorative pieces emerge. And we chat about the barriers FLINTA* face in tech, craft and knowledge-sharing — and how to learn new things in a lovely atmosphere.

queerpoesie.kollektiv — Workshop

queerpoesie.kollektiv

Performative Lesung

Community Space 19:00–21:00

The queerpoesie.kollektiv is made up of four artists and sees itself as a literary and political community that questions what is taken for granted. Its focus is on queer-feminist texts that illuminate, defend and celebrate life beyond the norm. Between 7 and 9 pm, three of the collective’s artists — Carrie-Ann Lawrence (she/her), Linn Schiffmann (all pronouns) and Birte Stolte (they/she) — take the stage and present a full dose of poetic queer-feminism: queer political texts, spoken word and drag elements. They look forward to the literary exchange with you!

Gewalten Formen

“Gewalten Formen” is a mobile, artistic-political installation that brings the topic of gender-based violence into public space through various media formats. The project combines art, activism and education to expose and critically question patriarchal structures.

Workshops also take place in this zone — including the Mut-Muskel workshop by Radikale Töchter and the talk “Recognising psychological violence & narcissistic abuse”.
